Murad Raas Says Students Not To Be Promoted Without Exams This Year

Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas said that this year students will not be promoted to the next grades without taking their examinations.

Talking on a private TV channel program, Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas said that all private and public schools in seven cities of Punjab will be closed from Monday (March 15) after surged in coronavirus cases.

Murad Raas said that the education ministry is trying its best to complete the academic year.

On the other hand, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that if the situation worsens, they will go for lockdown.

Yesterday, Federal Minister Education, professional training, National Heritage and culture Shafqat Mahmood on Wednesday announced that schools will remain open in Sindh and Baluchistan with 50 per cent attendance every day.

The announcement was made by the Federal Minister on his Twitter handle.

Shafqat Mahmood said that:

He added that all educational institutions will also close from March 15 in Islamabad, whereas in KP, they will all be closed only in Peshawar.
